A Witch’s Calendar for 2027: Moon Phases, Sabbats & Seasons

The year doesn’t have to start with a dramatic reinvention. Sometimes it helps just to know what’s coming: the next new moon, the first signs of spring, a long summer evening, or the point when everything begins to slow down again.
I made a Moon & Seasonal Calendar for Sagebrush & Bone to keep those moments in one place. It brings together the moon phases and the seasonal celebrations often called the Wheel of the Year.
The eight seasonal markers are Imbolc, Ostara (the spring equinox), Beltane, Litha (the summer solstice), Lughnasadh or Lammas, Mabon (the autumn equinox), Samhain, and Yule (the winter solstice). Some have a traditional celebration date; the equinoxes and solstices follow the astronomical season. Your own practice can be as simple or elaborate as you like.
The moon phases offer another rhythm. A new moon can be a moment to reset. As the moon grows, you might make a plan and act on it. A full moon can be a chance to celebrate what has come to light. As it wanes, you can rest, take stock, and let something go. None of these are assignments. If all you do is look up at the sky, that counts too.
Visit the Moon & Seasonal Calendar page to explore the dates for 2027. You can move between months, click an event for details, and come back whenever you need a little reminder of where you are in the year.
Take what’s useful. Leave the rest. The seasons will keep turning either way.
